i7-920 + Stock Cooler, EVGA FTW3 Mobo, 8gb Ram

March 13, 2017

Selling some old hardware!

  • Core-i7 920 Quad Core
  • Stock Air Cooler
  • EVGA FTW3 x56 Motherboard
  • 8gb ~1800mhz G.Skill RAM

Would make a great media server/htpc/file server, or even just a secondary computer. This used to be my couch gaming PC that I gamed and streamed on, so it did pretty well! It is now my streaming PC but just isn't powerful enough.

$100 shipped, $85 if you're local and you rub my nipple a couple of times.

Get at me if you want it!

GSN Gaming + Twitch

January 18, 2017

GSN Gaming is a PC Gaming Community. It was built around the ideology that this place would be a home for mature, laid back and like-minded gamers who wanted to forget the world, leave their problems at the door and just play video games. That premise still holds very true to this day, and we as a community stand by that with confidence.

As the community has grown and evolved, GSN has taken on new hobbies that include video games. Twitch has become a HUGE part of the lives for many of our members. Whether you are a streamer or a viewer, it is no doubt that Twitch is in the hearts of many.

GSN has many members that stream on Twitch. From rank Basic to Founder, we have a good amount of members who stream. Naturally, as those members channels grow and gain exposure, the number of viewers those channels are going to increase. The subject of GSN is going to come up sooner or later, and viewers looking for gamers to play with are going to show interest in the community, some of which are going to make the jump and see what GSN is all about. There are pros and cons to this.

The point we want to reiterate to our current members and guests is that GSN Gaming is a separate entity from Twitch. GSN Gaming is NOT a streaming community, nor is it a group of people that consist of a Twitch streaming team. Every member who streams on Twitch, does so away from GSN and on their own terms. We cannot urge the importance of this enough. Yes, GSN has many members that stream and spend a lot of time on Twitch, both viewing and streaming. But, for them Twitch is a hobby on the side.

With that said, there are a couple of things to understand. Your involvement with a members Twitch channel, whether it be watch time, gifts, donations or moderator status - does not hold any weight when it comes to consideration of your membership with GSN, should you choose to inquire regarding official membership. (For details on GSN’s membership policy, please click here). In order to become an GSN member, you must be invited. Other requirements include being a member of our forums and Discord, being active in those fields and most importantly playing video games with us and hanging out. Time spent in a GSN members Twitch chat or DIscord server does not fall under this category. To be more blunt, brown nosing GSN staff who stream on Twitch will only hurt your chances. If you’re confident that GSN can be your home, then play it cool, be yourself and just hop in our Discord and play some video games with us. That is all we ask.

So, when considering whether or not you’d like to inquire about GSN membership, please keep these things in mind. We want our members to be here, because they want to game with us and hang out. If Twitch is your primary focus, we may not be the best fit for you. GSN Gaming is a PC Gaming community, not a streaming community.

In addition to these terms, please note that we do not let any non-members share any social media in regards to their personal content platforms, whether it be Twitch, Hitbox, YouTube or any other website used to promote content. This is considered spam and advertising, and any links posted to the text channels of the GSN Gaming Discord will be removed and you will be issued a warning. Live notifications issued by our members and bot for Twitch are restricted to GSN members only.

If you have any questions about anything stated here, please feel free to contact our primary recruitment officer Thunder or our HR representatives Naaackers or CapN.

As this year comes to a close...

December 16, 2016

I think it's appropriate we say goodbye to 2016 in the most classy way possible.

I had a funny idea on the way to work this morning. I think I speak for the most of us when I say that 2016, as a whole, was a pretty shit year. A lot of awful things happened to a lot of great people, and it seems to be the general consensus that it was a rough time for a lot of us. For some, this includes things that are maybe not so personal. We lost a lot of iconic actors/musicians/etc. that inflicted so much inspiration on this generation.

But, with trials and tribulations comes knowledge and wisdom, and you have to take a look at what you've experienced and try to learn from it.

I thought it would be funny to get a collage/wallpaper of all of us saying good bye to 2016. Personally, 2016 was rough is many ways. And I want to give it a proper send off. A little comic relief if you will. So, all you have to do is get a picture of yourself, with a sign saying goodbye to 2016. Middle fingers are welcomed. Feel free to censor your sign as well if you see fit.

On the off chance that 2016 was the best year of your life, feel free to say something nice instead. But beware, YOU ARE IN THE MINORITY.

Just make sure your picture is a square - it will make it easier to stitch together.

Blog Post #17 - Extra Life - Thank You!

December 02, 2016

All I can really say is WOW. What a month of Extra Life it was for GSN Gaming and friends. With the help of all of you guys, the GSN Gaming Extra Life team was able to raise

Jesus Christ. That is absolutely fantastic. I am blown away by the support we received this time around. The feeling of going live on Extra Life Game Day and seeing everyone go off in chat was absolutely astonishing. We really felt the love this year.

So, on behalf of GSN Gaming, i'd like to extend some thanks to each and every one that helped us this year, whether it was with donations, watching the show, tweets, retweets, and everything in between - THANK YOU SO MUCH. We could not have done any of this without you guys. I'd like to also give a very special thank you to @SaltySam and @BadBadRobot for taking the time out of their days to stream for this cause. And a extra big thank you to SaltySam, who raised the most amount of money this year. You really did work my dude. Also a huge shoutout to Mythlogicand DigitalOpsfor not only supplying the venue for the show, but for their monstrous donation to the cause. It really means a lot to us.

Our next charity event is a little ways away, but you bet your bottom dollar we'll be going hard for St. Judes in 2017. To date, GSN Gaming and it's lovely friends and family have raised $9100+ for charity since doing events. That is HUGE. THAT IS SO CRAZY!!! You guys are all amazing.

Everyone have a great weekend!

Happy Thanksgiving

November 24, 2016

I posted this in Discord today, but wanted to express my gratitude to everyone.

I think today is a great day for not only reflection and self evaluation, but a great day to tell the ones around you how important you are. GSN has been a thing for over 6 years now. And oh the ups and downs we've had. But I look at this community as a whole right now and I could not be happier with its status. We have such a great group of people here that truly care about one another, and are here to build each other up and not break each other down. The core values that our founders set in place six years ago still hold true to this day. So, with that said - I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. Thank you for making GSN one of the greatest places to be. I am truly thankfull for all the hard work and effort you all put into this place. It does not go unseen and will not soon be forgotten. I hope everyone has the best of days, whether you are with friends or with family. Happy thanksgiving. And if you're outside of the US, happy Thursday - I still love you.

Today can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. Some of them are not great memories. Some of us may not have a great big family that all gets together. Maybe you live away from home and can't get home from the holidays. Well, this message is for you. If you're here, you're part of our family. Don't ever forget that. In my opinion, your family doesn't have to be your bloodline. And that is where families like GSN come in.

Today is the anniversary of me losing a very close friend, so today is very bitter sweet for me. But it's days like today that help me keep things in perspective, and remembering what is important in life. Friends and family. And video games :)

With that said, I hope you all have such a wonderful day, where ever you may be. For those in the states, Happy Thanksgiving! And for everyone else, well you just get a 'have a good thursday'.
