I'm giving this thread as much attention and love as the people at Sega/GearBox gave "Aliens: Colonial Marines"

 

Tutorial

*Unzip "Aliens - Colonial Marines.rar" into the following directory = /Aliens: Colonial Marines/Binaries/Win32/ 
 
*Asjust in-game Brightness/Gamma settings until satisfied..... if you can be satisfied with this game...
 
*If you wish to customize SweetFX, open "SweetFX_Settings.txt" .... it won't help much... broken/ugly game.. can only do so much with it
 
*Enable/Disable SweetFX by pressing F12 at any time in game
 
*Press "Print Screen" in game to take screenshots, they will be saved in the games directory

SLIGHTLY... if that... you can polish a piece of shit all you want.. in the end.... it's still a pile of shit that you can see your reflection in...

 

I pirated it.. YEP PIRATED (OH NOZ) and I feel rippppped off.. I played 3 missions.. enough to "test" sweetfx a little bit.. all I could manage.. unistalled it the minute I made this thread...

I am playing it now. I don't find it that bad. I have played worse. The story is not the best but I loved Aliens when came out. It is by far my favorite aliens movie. I got a feeling that it is going to be a very short game though.

... I've played, read and watch anythign and everythign Aliens....and predator for that matter... and this game is shameful.... to each his/her own but I'm glad I didn't buy this rubbish.

 

I've played worse too... but you know what your getting into in that regards.. this game was hyped and glorified for years with amazing screen shots, videos etc.etc   the final product is nothing like it was advertised, visualy it's it looks lie it was made in 2006.. sound is ok.. some guns are nice and others sound/play like crap, bugs galore.. and not the xenomorph bugs either... AI is BAD.. probably the worse I've seen in ages, special effects are missing/incomplete/terrible.. as is animations... alot of folks can't even get the game to run.... I was lucky enough to not have those problems but I had terrible fps issues in this "game".... a game that looks like it's 6-7 years old yet my beast computer can barely run it at 30fps at times...  story is LAUGHIBLE at best... it's supposed to be a sequal to ALIENS movie.. yet people/places that died/blew up are in the game.. makes sense.............   cliping, floating characters, bugged doors, bugged objectives, bugged challanges... ATMOSPHERE is as scary as playing Pokemon... difficulty is non exsistant.. I beat those 3 levels on "hardcore" and not once did I come close to dying... it's just plan pathetic excuse for a game, especially because of the fact it took 6+ years to make and they're charging TOP DOLLAR for it.. if it was $19.99.. I wouldn't comp;ain as much but since it's $49.99 with Day 1 DLC that's $30 ... come on man..... shit like this ruins the game industry.

 

This is just my own experience and my own opinion but many others share it.. I spent hours reading through Steam FORUMS and my lord is there ever alot of pissed off angry people wanting refunds... maybe the online stuff makes up for the horrible single-player but I HIGHLY doubt it does.

 

In the end Iceman.. if your enjoying it. that's all that matters, fuck those who disgree, if you love something, keep on trucking man, at least someone  is enjoying that game cause I sure as hell didn't.

I agree that alot of games are hyped, and turn out not what you expect to be. The biggest problem I have now is you pay $50 plus for a game and only get 4 hours of campain play time and expect you to play it online. That is why I moved towards games like Skyrim/Fallout or Borderlands. In the end it will be just anyother game I will add to my "Been There, Done It " collection.

I didn't get the game, nor have I played the previous, but this is definitely one of the top sweetfx presets of Omni's!

Major Disapointment after the long wait. This game honestly made me feel like I was playing a TC mod for Alien vs Predator 2(2001), although AvP2 had much better AI.
