since the last patch of GTA V, lot´s of people are experiencing weird and random frame drops.

I was playing around with my GFX card settings and the graphic settings of the game.

my actual specs:

  • CPU
    Intel Core I7 3770K @ 4,2 GHZ
  • Motherboard
    MSI Z77A-G45 G3 S1155 Z77 ATX DDR3
  • Memory
Corsair Vengeance LP 1866 DDR3 16GB Quad Channel
  • Storage
    SSD: 120 GB Crucial M500 / HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM 64MB S-ATA3 6Gb/s + 3TB External USB 3 Intenso HDD
  • Video Card
    EVGA GTX 770 SC ACX
  • Software
    Windows 7 Ultimate
so what I did:

I opened my Nvidia Control Panel, 3D settings and set this:

Untitled2.png

using the DSR that way is giving you an extra of 100-150 MB VRam and the game even looks better.

this are my in-game graphic settings:

Untitled4.png
Untitled5.png

so, even with VSync disabled , I would get 80+ FPS stable at 1700 MB VRam usage

edit:
make sure to go to your task manager after launching the game and eliminate the top listed task of Social Club, it´s writing to your RAM all the time and it´s not needed at all !
it´s called "subprocess.exe" , description "Social Club UI"
