Hey guys! So a few people asked me about how I built my green screen and how much it cost. Well I put together a build list and a quick tutorial on how to do so if you wanna set this up for streaming! Enjoy!

Edit: Re did this guide on my new website, Geekmatic.Tv

This is nice and simple. I think I might modify it just a smidge and put the middle PVC's into a join for fold-ability. Thanks for the guide!

  • Hot Glue – Instead of using the purple glue that you use to secure PVC pipes to the joints, I had a hot glue sitting around so I just used that to clue the gram together

"clue the gram together"

I'm a stickler for that stuff, even though I tend to type too fast as well :P

@Nackers

So, I found a kit on amazon that was a 10x12 screen plus two lighting kits. Worth it?

I've found some screens for like $20ish too

Examples:

http://www.amazon.co...WQX4A9853&psc=1

http://www.amazon.co...d=IIEYOCWHZPXB0

http://www.amazon.co...=I3E0EXXIG5W08F

http://www.amazon.co...=I2FT54SYRNL8GA

Maybe those are cheap, crap, ones?

The reviews on that first one aren't great, And you could prob get the material cheaper than the 2nd link at a fabric store.

The last two links look cool, but i wouldn't want to set that up and break it down every time i streamed. You may have it where you can leave the green screen up all the time. That's not the case because my computer is in my bedroom. I like the way I did it because I just have a mic stand it hangs on. Set the mic stand where I want it, and hang the green screen. Done. With those setups, it's gonna be way more time setting up and breaking down. And I don't know how much space you have, but those tripods and lights are meant for studios - not for bedrooms.

I would say it's worth the $120 if you can set it up and leave it. But make sure the lamps don't have integrated LED's and bulbs can't be exchanged if need be. They might be cheap.

You know what that is like a REALLY good point, the setup/takedown process. I didn't even think of that. Thanks!

I think I'll make my own after my move anyway, more satisfying =D

Great How-to Nackers. I was really hoping for another video featuring dancing cats though :P
